It is advisable to arrive 15 to 30 minutes prior to departure, especially if you need to collect your tickets; however, certain major stations or international trains might require additional time. Eurostar for example advise that you should arrive 75 to 90 minutes prior to departure for Standard/Plus services and 45 to 60 minutes for Premier services. The check-in gates close 30 minutes before departure, and 15 to 20 minutes for Premier services.
Passengers are allowed to carry up to three items of luggage at no additional cost, typically comprising two large bags (up to 85cm in length) for most routes, along with one small hand luggage. There are no strict weight restrictions, as long as you are able to safely lift and store your own bags.
Many train services, though not all, provide the option for seat reservations. If you possess an advance ticket, a seat is automatically reserved for you. If you hold an Interrail or Eurail pass, we are able to assist you in reserving seats where necessary.
If you miss your booked Advance train due to a delay by the same rail operator, you are generally allowed to take the next train. However, your original seat reservation will no longer be valid and you might need new seat reserved.
